Problems while "Manual installation on your host OS with RPMs" - Installing native compilers

After entering rpm -ivh --ignoreos rpmname i still received an error failed dependancies /bin/sh

The solution lies in http://ptolemy.berkeley.edu/viptos/viptos5.1/nc2moml.htm

rpm --ignoreos --nodeps -ivh *.rpm
