On Hardy Instead of: $ sudo apt-get install tinyos I needed to run: $ sudo apt-get install tinyos-2.1.0

Would have changed but then it would be inconsistent with previous line : "to install latest version"

Also I count 4 steps in the two step install for the debian distribution
